Research conducted by the University of Arizona into bacteria in an office environment showed that bacteria tend to harbor on high-touch products such as cell phones, keyboards, and computer mice. Disturbingly, the study revealed that the average desktop has 400 times more bacteria than the average toilet seat!

The “Protect Kids Stamp” - COLOP’s Creative Aid to Promote Regular Hand Washing Amongst Children
In a bid to help slow the spread of COVID-19, COLOP has developed the “Protect Kids Stamp”. This new product aims to actively promote handwashing amongst young children, making it a fun and enjoyable experience.

Stamp, Wash, Protect!
In keeping with the motto “stamp, wash, protect,” an imprint of the “Protect Kids Stamp” is applied to the back and/or to the inside of a child’s hand soon after getting up in the morning. The “virus monster” imprint is intended to motivate each child in a playful way to wash their hands throughout the day. If the child has washed their hands frequently and thoroughly enough, the imprint should no longer be visible by the evening.
Every "Protect Kids Stamp" is delivered with dermatologically certified stamp ink. Each stamp lasts for approximately 3,000 imprints or, in the case of making five to six imprints daily, around 500 days.
Microban® technology gives the “Protect Kids Stamp” added product protection against the growth of bacteria for its expected lifetime, offering greater peace of mind for parents. Microban® technology does not protect against viruses or inhibit the spread of viruses.

Introducing the 'Cleany' Stamps - An Evolution of the PROTECT Kids Stamps
Cleany Stamps are a new, child-friendly addition to COLOP's product portfolio. Accompanied by the catchy 'Hand-washing Song', Cleany Stamps aim to remind children of the importance of good hand hygiene.
"Preventive measures such as hand washing have been part of everyday life around the world, especially since March 2020. While older children usually need a simple factual explanation to understand the necessity of washing their hands, the younger ones among us have to really be convinced”, says Jacques Ahn, COLOP Arts & Crafts Managing Director. “Especially in kindergartens or schools, it is of great importance for educators to keep an overview of if the kids have washed their hands. With the Cleany Stamps, COLOP Arts & Crafts takes on this topic in a playful way and presents a motivating and child-friendly solution."
The Cleany Stamp is available in 3 versions, for children aged 3 to 8 years of age. The orange Cleany Lion makes paw prints, the purple Cleany Octopus stamps stars, and the white Cleany Unicorn distributes hearts.
